The Morehead State Eagles pulled off a surprising 68-64 upset over top-seeded Clemson in the National Invitation Tournament tonight.
Mark Freeman led the Eagles (22-11) with 19 points and 4 assists. Alex Gross added 16 points and 9 rebounds. Kalil Thomas chipped in 11 points and 8 boards.
This is the first time the Eagles have ever competed in the NIT and the historic win sends them into the second round against UAB.

UAB, which is coached by former Ole Miss head man Andy Kennedy, defeated Southern Miss 88-60 in the first round.
