In what has played out as a bizarre college basketball season, Morehead State is the only Kentucky team to make the 2021 NCAA Tournament.
Kentucky had a losing record and Louisville was the “first team out” of the field that was announced earlier this evening.
NKU, EKU, Murray State and WKU all lost in their conference tournaments and Bellarmine was ineligible for the NCAA Tournament this season due to their transition period to Division I.
The Eagles, winners of the Ohio Valley Conference, earned a 14-seed in the Big Dance and will face third-seeded West Virginia in the Midwest Region.

Here’s a look at the bracket (we will post some analysis and thoughts later).
Wow, a selection committee chaired by Kentucky AD Mitch Barnhart, whose team is not in the field, snubs Louisville.
JUICY.

As one of the first four teams out, Louisville is considered an alternate team and will get into the field IF a team has to withdraw due to COVID-19. The other alternate teams are Colorado State, Saint Louis and Ole Miss.
