Mississippi State guard Nick Weatherspoon had to be carted off after getting kicked in the face during tonight’s game vs. Tennessee.
Weatherspoon went down after landing awkwardly on his hip and referees didn’t stop play. Then a Tennessee player inadvertently kicked Weatherspoon in the face.
Here’s a look at what happened:
Oh my, that’s a horrible accident. Weatherspoon takes a shot to the head after falling awkwardly on his hip. #Vols #HailState #SECTourney pic.twitter.com/IyZ45GGuJ4

The surprise of no one, one of the referees was Pat Adams:
Leave it to Pat Adams to not stop the play and protect the player lying on the floor. How he is still officiating in the SEC is beyond me. https://t.co/aljFocfTCz
