The Michigan State Spartans were well on the way to a much-needed Quad 1 win at Iowa this afternoon.
The Spartans held a 13-point lead with 94 seconds to go in regulation and a 10-point lead with 40 seconds to play.
Against all odds (I was watching and still don’t believe it), Iowa nailed three 3-pointers late and managed to tie the game 101-101 to send it to overtime.
Iowa hit 5 threes after being down by 13 with 94 seconds remaining. MSU went 5/6 from the FT line to close out regulation.
Iowa beat Michigan State 112-106 in overtime.

The Hawkeyes rolled in the extra period, pulling out a stunning 112-106 victory.
In Joe Lunardi’s Bracketology, Iowa is currently projected as a 9-seed while State is a 7-seed.
