Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Raises Money for Charity with MKG Burger

Former Kentucky star Michael Kidd-Gilchrist helped raised $5,000 for a charity called A Child’s Place recently through the sales of the MKG Burger at The Cowfish restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The charity works to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education.

Here is more about the project from FSRMagazine.com:

Alan Springate, co-founder of The Cowfish in Raleigh, North Carolina, recently presented $5,000 to A Child’s Place, which works to erase the impact of homelessness on children and their education.

The donation was a portion of the proceeds from sales of the MKG Burger, a menu item named in NBA player Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s honor and developed specifically to benefit one of his favorite charities.

Kidd-Gilchrist worked with The Cowfish Executive Chef David Lucarelli and Master Sushi Chef Rifali Almunir to develop the MKG, which reflects his healthy eating habits.
