Former Kentucky Wildcat and fan favorite, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist hasn’t had much luck when it comes to his career in the NBA.
Kidd-Gilchrist has been given a rough deal as his career has been plagued by injuries, but his talent and heart will keep him going.
He has yet to complete a full season with the Charlotte Hornets, and missed almost all of the 2015-16 season after being injured during a preseason game, then re-injuring it again once he was cleared to play. For a guy with so much heart for the game and for life, he’s sure having to have a ton of adversity. But, he’s facing it with a smile on his face and eagerly awaits his next chance to play for the Hornets.
Both MKG and the Hornets deserve a season where Kidd-Gilchrist gets to full out play, no injuries, nothing but a season of success for both parties involved.
Kidd-Gilchrist has a lot of years ahead of him in the NBA, if he can stay healthy, or at least if he can keep his injuries to a limit. He’s a mere 22 years old. There is a lot of time left for his career to soar. He deserves it more than anyone else.
