The 2015 Kentucky football schedule was released earlier this week and one thing that stood out is a Thursday night game at Commonwealth Stadium.
On Thursday, October 15, the Auburn Tigers will come to Commonwealth for a nationally-televised game against the Wildcats.
The game will give Kentucky some big time exposure and should provide an opportunity for an electric atmosphere against a high-level SEC opponent.
Head coach Mark Stoops is excited about the program’s first ever Thursday-night home game.
Here is an excerpt of Stoops comments from the Herald-Leader:
“I’m very happy and looking forward to having a home Thursday night game,” Stoops said, thanking UK President Eli Capilouto and Athletics Director Mitch Barnhart for their efforts to make that happen. “It’ll be a great stage for us to be a home game on Thursday night and national TV and have a chance to really show everybody a lot about our community and about our school and about our team. So that’ll be a lot of fun.”
