Mark Stoops is working toward filling his football coaching staff at Kentucky and it is sounding like it is coming into form.
As earlier speculated, Florida State defensive backs coach D.J. Eliot will join Stoops at Kentucky as defensive coordinator.
Kentucky: (Breaking) Sources have informed me that Florida State defensive ends coach D.J. Eliot has accepted the defensive coordinator job at Kentucky. Before joining the FSU staff in 2010, Eliot served as the defensive line / recruiting coordinator at Rice for three seasons. He has also coached at Tulsa and Texas State.
It has also been reported that James Coley will not join the coaching staff at Kentucky and will stay at Florida State.
Which opens the door for the possibility of Texas Tech offensive coordinator Neal Brown to take the same job under Stoops at Kentucky.
There should be some official announcements this week, so keep your eye on Nation of Blue for all the updates.
