Provo • Thirteen days after Dave Rose retired as BYU’s head men’s basketball coach, the Cougars appear to have found his replacement.
Former BYU assistant Mark Pope, Utah Valley’s head coach the past four seasons, will be announced soon as BYU’s new coach, according to several sources familiar with the selection process.
As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, BYU had not confirmed the hiring or called a news conference to make a coaching announcement.
