Lyon County and high-scoring sophomore Travis Perry are hoping to keep their perfect record against 2nd Region foes alive for three more games this week.
The Lyons (25-6) were a perfect 20-0 against 2nd Region competition in the regular season. Perry, who just crossed the 3,000-point mark for his career, leads the high-powered attack.

Lyon County will be favored to cut down the nets, but they will certainly face some stiff competition from Madisonville-North Hopkins (22-8), Hopkinsville (21-6) and Henderson County (18-12).
Union County (19-9) would also offer a challenge if they find a way to get past Madisonville in the quarterfinals.
I’ll be touching on this quite a bit more over the coming years, but Perry is an amazing story and one to keep an eye one.

With the postseason and two more years to go, Perry is a legitimate threat to break “King” Kelly Coleman’s all-time scoring record of 4,337 points.
