The Courier-Journal obtained financial details about Kenny Payne’s severance package from Louisville this afternoon and it probably explains by Payne is always happy.
Louisville will be paying Payne a total of $7,250,000 over the next three years. That total will paid out in monthly payments of $201,388.88, beginning today (April 1).
Amazingly, Payne will earn $2.5 million dollars annually during the next three years, while current head coach Pat Kelsey will only make $2.3 million per year.
