UK head coach John Calipari recently admitted that losing to Wisconsin never even entered his mind. Calipari recently said that he thought his team would figure it out and find a way to win.

“You know, it never entered my mind that we were going to lose,” Calipari told The Associated Press. “When we were up four with five minutes to go, I thought it was over. Even when Wisconsin made that run, I thought we’d figure it out.”
Wisconsin went on a 15-3 run in the final 4:28 of the semifinal game to come back from a 60-58 deficit against the Wildcats.
“We never, in my time at Kentucky, we just don’t lose that game.”
