East Carolina offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley was asked about leaving for other jobs, including Kentucky, during a press conference yesterday.
This from 24/7 Sports:
The Pirate offensive coordinator – who’s been linked to a potential opening with Kentucky by multiple outlets – met with the media Saturday and addressed the rumors for the first time.
“I’ve still got that on my shirt,” said Riley pointing to the logo on his ECU jacket. “I’m here. I’m ready to coach this bowl game.”
He was also asked about other schools contacting him but he wouldn’t give any direct information on the subject.
“I better stay away from that one right now,” he said.
Riley said “it depends on the situation” when it comes to whether or not he will entertain outside inquires leading into a bowl game, and that he defers to head coach Ruffin McNeill in those circumstances.
The posting for the Kentucky OC job has been pushed back daily, so one could guess they are waiting on someone.
Who is that someone?
