According to reports this morning, LiAngelo Ball and two of his UCLA teammates are likely facing 20 days of house arrest and banishment from China following their arrest for shoplifting earlier this week.
Here’s the latest:
UCLA basketball players LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley reportedly could be forced to serve 20 days of house arrest and receive permanent banishment from China after being arrested for stealing Tuesday in Hangzhou.
On Thursday, Ken Sugiura of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the players, who were released on bail Wednesday, might serve the punishment at the Hyatt Regency Hangzhou, the hotel where UCLA and Georgia Tech players stayed ahead of their game Saturday (Friday night U.S. time) in Shanghai.
The Associated Press noted Wednesday that UCLA head coach Steve Alford said Ball, Hill and Riley won’t play against the Yellow Jackets, but he couldn’t provide any additional details about their status.
