Lexington Fire Marshal: No Fires, Grilling at Commonwealth Stadium Saturday

The Lexington Fire Marshal has issued a burning ban for Fayette County until 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

The ban includes Commonwealth Stadium.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – In response to dry, windy conditions, the Lexington Fire Department, by order of the Lexington Fire Marshal, has issued a burning ban for Fayette County until 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20. The burning ban will be in effect at Commonwealth Stadium and in all surrounding parking lots for the Kentucky football game vs. Austin Peay on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

The ban includes all cooking and grilling fires and applies even for fans who have received prior approval from the UK Fire Marshal. UK Athletics parking staff, the UK Fire Marshal and the Lexington Fire Department will enforce the burning ban throughout the day on Saturday.
