A Facebook group called “Let Them Play” has organized a rally in Frankfort Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. ET.
The goal of the rally is to save the fall high school sports season.
Despite the KHSAA’s decision last week to move forward, there’s still a pending decision from Governor Andy Beshear that could further delay or even cancel fall sports.
Here are more details from LEX 18:
A Facebook group called “Let them Play” is planning to have a rally in Frankfort Monday at 10 a.m. after Jefferson and Fayette Co. Public Schools announced they’ll have a special Board of Education meeting to decide if they should play high school sports this fall.

Friday, the Fayette Co. Board of Education decided to put a hold on teams beginning practices on Monday, even though the KHSAA made the decision to pursue the fall sports season as originally planned. The Jefferson Co. Board of Education did the same thing.
The “Let them Play” Facebook group now has over 21,500 members as of Sunday afternoon, where members are encouraged to share their own personal stories about why they think high school sports should continue this fall.
They’re encouraged to share these stories with elected officials, senators and representatives, the attorney general’s office, health officials, superintendents, school board members, principals, etc.
