With 11 seconds to go in a 4-point game, Florida State and head coach Leonard Hamilton chose to not foul and essentially concede to Michigan.
After the game, Hamilton was asked why his team decided to not foul.
His explanation was even worse than the decision:

Florida State conceding and not fouling…is mindboggling.

By the way, Michigan ranked No. 321 in the nation in free throw shooting percentage this season.
One other note…the line on the game was Florida State +4.5 points. They lost by 4 and a free throw would have changed the outcome in Vegas.
