Lauren Hill inspired hundreds of thousands of watchers yesterday when she made her college debut for Mount St. Joseph at Xavier University.
Hill, who has an inoperable brain tumor known at D.I.P.G., opened the game with a layup in front of a complete sellout of 10,250 fans at Xavier’s Cintas Center. This morning, she is still trending worldwide on Twitter and her story continues to travel across the globe. She scored again late in the game.
Lauren was presented the game ball after scoring her first basket. At halftime, she was given the Pat Summitt Most Courageous Award by the USBWA and Coach Summitt herself.
According to doctors, Hill is not expected to make it to 2015. She and her family are certainly in our prayers.
