John Calipari’s jacket he was going to wear to drive the pace car at the Quaker State 400 until it was postponed due to rain.
John Calipari was asked yesterday at the Kentucky Speedway about the status of Kyle Wiltjer and it sounds like it could still be up in the air if he will transfer or not.
Mark Story of Kentucky.com was at the Quaker State 400 and recorded the following from Calipari.
Looking ahead to next season for UK, the Kentucky coach was asked if there was any chance junior-to-be forward Kyle Wiltjer might return to the Cats. The 6-10 junior has announced he is exploring the possibility of transferring.
“I don’t know,” Calipari said. “He and I texted each other today. So I’ll probably text him to see where he is with things.”

Wiltjer has already been granted his right to transfer and his paperwork has already been sent to a couple of schools that he is considering.
Gonzaga has long been thought as the favorite for Wiltjer and he has already taken a visit to the school last week.
I still think it is a longshot that Wiltjer returns to Kentucky and Gonzaga is the morning line favorite.
