Kentucky’s New Air Raid Offense

With the new recruits arriving in Lexington today, I thought we would take a look at what Kentucky’s offense could look like this season. Offensive Coordinator Neal Brown’s offenses have historically finished as one of the best in college football.

Last season at Texas Tech, Brown’s offense averaged 495.8 yards per game. The Red Raiders offense was 2nd in the nation in passing yards while averaging 355.9 yards/game. Texas Tech also liked to run the ball averaging 139.9 yards/game.  The Red Raiders offense averaged 37.5 points/game last season. With the talent Kentucky has at the quarterback and running back positions the Wildcats should be able to have some success with this offense. The one thing that could hurt Kentucky will be lack of depth at the wide receiver position.  I’m not saying we don’t have talent at that position, because we do.  I’m just saying Kentucky needs a few more receivers on the roster.

Below is some video of the Texas Tech offense from last season.  Just listen to how many times you here the announcers say touchdown Red Raiders.  Now imagine how many times we can here Tom Leach say TOUCHDOWN KENTUCKY!!!  One thing is for sure, this should be an exiting season for Kentucky football.
