Kentucky senior setter Emma Grome was named the SEC Setter of the Week for the 21st time in her career Monday afternoon.
Grome was also named SEC Player of the Week for the third time this season and 13th time in her career.
Additionally, middle blocker Jordyn Dailey was named the SEC’s Co-Freshman of the Week.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky senior setter Emma Grome was named the Southeastern Conference Setter of the Week for the 21st time in her career Monday afternoon, while also being named the SEC overall player of the week for the third time this season and 13th time in her career. Additionally, middle blocker Jordyn Dailey was named the SEC’s Co-Freshman of the Week after her terrific performance at No. 24 Missouri on Wednesday.
Grome logged 13.50 assists per set and 54 assists in total Wednesday night as Kentucky beat No. 24 Missouri on the road to clinch the outright 2024 SEC Championship. Grome had a service ace and eight digs in the match as she steered Kentucky’s offense to a .377 hitting efficiency for the night and helped Kentucky sideout at over 65 percent in three of the four sets. The 54-assist match for Grome is two off of her season high and marks her fifth match this season logging 50 or more assists.
Dailey hit .750 Wednesday night as Kentucky clinched the outright SEC Championship at No. 24 Missouri. Dailey had nine kills, tying her career high and SEC high in that category on 12 swings to hit .750 for the night. Her kill out of the middle at 24-20 handed Kentucky the match as she was also responsible for four block assists, including at 20-20 in the fourth set to push Kentucky into the lead for the first time in the set, a lead the Wildcats wouldn’t relinquish the rest of the set to claim the match.
The Kentucky Volleyball team earned a No. 3 seed in the 2024 NCAA Volleyball Championship on Sunday night, getting the right to host a sub-regional this weekend inside Historic Memorial Coliseum in Lexington.
The Wildcats will play host to sixth-seeded Minnesota, Western Kentucky and Cleveland State this week with first round matches taking place Thursday night and the sub-regional championship on Friday at 7 p.m. ET for the right to play in the NCAA Regional round. WKU and Minnesota will play a 4:30 p.m. ET on Thursday followed at 7:30 p.m. ET by Kentucky against Cleveland State. Both matches will air live on ESPN+ and the ESPN app.
