Davion Mintz nailed a late three-pointer off a beautifully-designed play to give Kentucky a 77-74 win over Vanderbilt at Rupp Arena tonight.
The win is the second straight for the Wildcats to open Southeastern Conference play.

Olivier Sarr led Kentucky (3-6, 2-0 SEC) with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Freshman Dontaie Allen again came up huge for the Cats with 14 points and 5 boards off the bench. Mintz and Devin Askew each finished with 11 points.

Vanderbilt (4-4, 0-2) was led by a trio of players with 18 points each.
Kentucky will try to inch closer to .500 with a road trip to Florida on Saturday.
