A familiar face could be back at quarterback for Kentucky.
Mike Hartline returned to practice this week, and coach Rich Brooks said he’ll consider starting the junior at Vanderbilt on Saturday.
Hartline has missed the last four games after suffering ligament and cartilage damage in his left knee against South Carolina on Oct. 10. Not surprisingly, he appeared rusty during Tuesday’s practice. How he fares in the days leading up to the game will determine his game-day role.
Hartline will wear a brace to protect the knee. The biggest concerns revolve around his running and roll-out ability. Throwing the football and planting his feet aren’t expected to be problems.
