Kentucky Sitting Still in SEC Power Rankings

There is no change in the Wildcats SEC power rankings by ESPN this week as they are still next to last.

13. Kentucky (1-1; LW: 14): Saturday’s 47-14 win against Kent State was huge. If the Wildcats are going to make it back to the postseason, they will need to win the remainder of their nonconference games after dropping the opener to Louisville. Maxwell Smith was also very impressive, passing for 354 yards and four touchdowns. The defense needs to continue to grow before SEC play and will get a chance to fine-tune things against Western Kentucky Saturday.

Vanderbilt is the only team below the Cats, with Auburn right ahead of them at the 11 spot.

Vandy’s poor play vs. Northwestern should give Kentucky fans hope of a SEC win.
