Kentucky Sends Strong Message to College Basketball With Beatdown of Vanderbilt

Kentucky went on two big runs early in the game and never looked back on the way to an impressive 87-52 beatdown of Vanderbilt.

P.J. Washington led the Wildcats with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 3 steals. Nick Richards came off the bench to add 14 points and 4 blocks. Ashton Hagans finished with 7 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists.



The Wildcats (17-3, 6-1 SEC) led 45-15 at halftime.

Saben Lee led Vanderbilt with 15 points and 5 assists.

Kentucky heads to Gainesville for a tough road game at Florida on Saturday.

Vanderbilt (9-11, 0-7) has lost eight consecutive games. They will try to get back on track at Missouri this weekend.
