Kentucky started slow but fought back in the second half to earn a key road win at Texas A&M in front of a raucous home crowd.
The Wildcats (15-3, 5-1 SEC) trailed most of the game, finally taking a 49-48 lead with 9 minutes to play in the second half.

From there the two teams traded leads before Kentucky took a 4-point lead on a Davion Mintz free throw with 10 seconds to play. Oscar Tshiebwe made two more free throws to wrap up a 64-58 victory.
Sahvir Wheeler led the Cats in scoring with 12 points. He also had 4 assists, but also a season-high 8 turnovers. Tshiebwe finished with 8 points and 14 rebounds. Davion Mintz came off the bench to score 10 points and pull down 8 rebounds from his guard position.
Kentucky will now prepare for Saturday’s road showdown against Auburn with first place in the SEC on the line.
