Kentucky Football has offered Carrollwood Day (Fla) tight end Michael Trigg to play both football and basketball.
Trigg would be on scholarship for football and be considered a walk-on on the basketball team.
Here is the report from 24/7 Sports:
Tampa (Fla.) Carrollwood Day tight end Michael Trigg (6-foot-4, 230) has been offered the chance to play football and basketball at Kentucky. He has received similar opportunities from USC and LSU. Those three schools comprise his top ten as well as Auburn, North Carolina, Michigan State, South Carolina, Illinois, Ohio State and Penn State. Auburn had been a top contender but recently added a commitment from Humble (Tex.) Atascocita tight end Landen King.
The Florida native would join John Calipari’s team as a walk-on.
Co-offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Darin Hinshaw has served as his primary recruiter. UK did not take a tight end in the 2020 recruiting class and have yet to add a commitment at the position in the current class. The SEC program has four scholarship tight ends on the roster with Justin Rigg entering his final season of eligibility.
