Darius Miller has lived every Kentucky high school basketball player’s dream.

He has won a Kentucky Sweet 16 championship and was named MVP.

He won Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball.

He played for the University of Kentucky and was SEC Tournament MVP and played in 2 Final Fours and won a National Championship.

More importantly, he was a player that understood what it meant to put on the Blue and White and the way he played represents what every member of the Blue Nation Nation loves.

This year’s edition of the Wildcats has fans wishing that Darius didn’t leave and came back for another year, not even realizing he graduated and played 4 years.

The Kentucky fans see it, and with Coach John Calipari already talking about having a deeper bench next season, why not offer a player that could be Darius Miller?

Fresh off of winning the Sweet 16 and the Most Valuable Player Award, Madison Central’s Dominique Hawkins has received more attention than any Kentucky-bred recruit since the John Calipari era began.

One would have to deduce that after Cal watched the 6’1″ combo guard lead his team in scoring all 3 days and show the will to win the Kentucky coach has been wishing for all season, a scholarship offer would be on the horizon.

Complications of having to wait on Kentucky are apparent though, as the one and done rule has led to 8 freshman in the last 3 years put their names in the NBA Draft. Kentucky is also in the mix for Andrew Wiggins, Julius Randle and Aaron Gordon. Recruiting analysts mostly agree that Calipari will get one of these recruits and a longshot to sign two.

No matter the situation after all the kinks get worked out, Dominique Hawkins is the type of player, for 4 years, that this Kentucky program needs.

Hawkins already has the high school championship and MVP trophies and Mr. Basketball will be announced on March 29th.

On March 30th, Dominique Hawkins will be that much closer to being the Next Darius Miller.

The ball is in your court John Calipari.
