Kentucky football got off to a good start in 2021 with a 23-21 victory over No. 23 North Carolina state in the TaxSlayer Gator Bowl.
In a game that was marred by 17 total penalties and chippy play by both teams, the Wildcats (5-6) secured victory with a late interception followed by a Chris Rodriguez touchdown run.

Rodriguez finished with 17 carries for 84 yards and 2 touchdowns. A.J. Rose led Kentucky’s ground attack with 12 rushes for 148 yards.
