Kentucky Has No Seniors for First Time in Over 70 Years

For the first time in more than 70 years, the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team will have no senior players on senior night.

According to the Herald-Leader:



For the next 72 years though at least one senior would be listed on the Kentucky roster, according to the database kept by Jon Scott’s Big Blue History website.

Until now.

For the first time since World War II, Kentucky does not have a senior on its roster this season. Even in John Calipari’s era of freshman-heavy rosters built around one-and-done talent at least one senior has been recognized during traditional senior night festivities before the last home game of the season.
