During today’s coronavirus briefing Governor Andy Beshear gave his thoughts on college football starting on time.
He also gave some insight of how it will look in the stadium as well.
“I believe that we will have college football in the fall pending an outbreak,” Beshear said at his Wednesday briefing. “You saw what happened with the NBA (shutdown in March). It wasn’t that there was COVID out there, it was that there was an outbreak.”
The governor was not ready to commit to college football games being played in front of their normally full stadiums though. He noted that all large-scale events in Kentucky require a specific plan the state must approve.
