After a game that saw Tyler Herro struggle to the point of getting scolded by John Calipari at Tennessee, there was a positive reaction to the negative interaction as the freshman guard led the Wildcats to a 80-76 win at Ole Miss.
Herro finished with 20 points as he and Keldon Johnson’s 22 points led the Cats to their 25th win of the season.
Tyler spoke about how well the team shared the ball, “When we are sharing the ball it helps us take good shots. We did a good job of getting in the lane and finding each other.”
Johnson spoke about the small lineup John Calipari used and how well it worked for him.
“We worked on it this week. I was able to attack the bigger player with my quickness and my teammates put me in positions where I could best succeed.”
PJ Washington finished with 13 points after sitting on the bench in foul trouble in the 1st half for the second straight game.
The Wildcats improved to 14-3 in the SEC.
Kentucky will be back in action this Saturday in the regular season finale vs. Florida at Rupp Arena at 2pm.
