Kentucky Freshman DJ Wagner Donates $75,000 to Camden High School Athletic Department

Kentucky freshman guard DJ Wagner is donating $75,000 to the Camden (NJ) High School athletic department as part of the DICK’s Sporting Goods’ “Sports Change Lives” campaign.

According to a report by Adam Zagoria of NJ.com, the money comes from DICK’s Sporting Goods, not from Wagner’s pocket or NIL deal.

Here are more details from NJ.com:

The 6-foot-3 Wagner chose his alma mater to receive the “75for75″ Sports Matter Grant to provide more youth athletes from his community greater access to play. The money comes from DICK’s Sporting Goods, not from Wagner’s pocket or an NIL deal.

“When I found out about the grant, I just started smiling and I was very happy because I felt very blessed to even be able to be a part of the 75 for 75 grant,” Wagner said in a press release. “My grant will be going to the Camden High athletic department, and they will use it to help them in their seasons and help them with things like equipment or whatever else they need for the season.”
