Kentucky has played three games so far this season, so let’s take a look at some of the stats and where Kentucky ranks in the SEC after three weeks.

So far Kentucky has mostly freshman and Junior College transfers leading the way offensively. Jojo Kemp has been Kentucky’s most productive back this season gaining 167 yards on just 18 carries. That’s an average of 9.3 yards per carry. Jalen Whitlow has been consistant running the football by gaining 187 yards on 27 carries. Raymond Sanders has added 156 yards on 26 carries.

Max Smith is leading Kentucky in passing yards. Smith is 32-56 for 544 yards and 4 touchdowns this season. Jalen Whitlow has also contributed to the passing game throwing for 286 yards while completing 28-44 pass attempts. Whiltow has thrown one touchdown and one interception this season.

Junior wide receiver Javess Blue leads Kentucky in receiving catching 15 passes for 197 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Timmons is second on the team catching 9 passes for 133 yards. Jeff Badet has 6 catches for 124 yards and one touchdown.

Kentucky ranks 4th in the SEC in total offense, averaging 490 yards per game. Kentucky averages 276 ypg passing and and 213 ypg game on the ground.

On the defensive side of the ball Kentucky is lead by senior Avery Williamson with 35 tackles and Za’Darius Smith leads the team in sacks with 4.5.

Kentucky is ranked 8th in the SEC in total defense giving up 367 ypg. Kentucky is giving up 185 ypg on the ground while only giving up 181 yards per game passing. Kentucky’s secondary was a big concern before the season started, but so far have played very well.
