24/7Sports.com is reporting that a reserve linebacker from Kentucky has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Kentucky sophomore linebacker Chris Whittaker has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to a source. Whittaker redshirted as a freshman in 2017 and did not play in a game during 2018.
With Josh Allen graduating, Whittaker was expected to compete for playing time with Jordan Wright and Alex King at the ‘jack’ linebacker position. Kentucky signed six outside linebackers in the 2019 class, including early enrollees Jared Casey and Marquez Bembry. Bembry, a junior college transfer, is out for spring practice after having knee surgery.
