Justin Rowland of Rivals.com is reporting that Demitrious and Chris Davis will transfer from Pitt and be eligible for Kentucky Football in the 2014 season.
Here is an excerpt from the story:
Sources have informed Cats Illustrated that the former Panthers officially visited Kentucky on Tuesday and have told the staff of their intent to transfer to UK.
Demitrious Davis, a high school wide receiver, switched to running back at Pitt.
Last year the twins were redshirt freshmen at Pittsburgh. They will have to sit out for the 2013 season before they are eligible the following year. They will then have three years of eligibility.Natives of Austintown (Ohio), the Davis brothers attended Austintown Fitch. They were both ranked among the top 40 prospects in Ohio as members of the Class of 2012, and ranked the No. 32 and No. 33 athletes in the nation according to Rivals.com.
Both brothers began their Pitt careers as wide receivers but Demitrious was eventually moved to running back. Given Kentucky’s depth woes at receiver it seems likely that both brothers will be given a chance to play that position.
