Kentucky Football Adds One and Offers One

The Kentucky Football 2016 roster has grown recently with a transfer from Minnesota.

His name is De’Niro Laster.

He announced his intention to transfer to Lexington via his twitter account.

Here is some background information on Laster from Kentucky.com:

Rivals.com ranked Laster as the No. 35 outside linebacker nationally and the No. 34 prospect from Ohio in the class of 2013.

He sat out the 2013 season as a redshirt, then made his debut for the Golden Gophers in 2014 — playing in nine games and registering seven tackles. Laster also earned Academic All-Big Ten honors last season.

This is the fourth player originally from Ohio that UK has secured as a transfer in recent months.

Here is a look at Laster and some football talk from Minnesota’s defensive coordinator:

Kentucky also offered 2018 quarterback prospect Allan Walters from Paramus Catholic in New Jersey:

Walters has also been offered by Michigan, Alabama, Ole Miss, and Rutgers.
