Kentucky has reached out to St. John’s transfer forward David Jones.
Jones, a 6-foot-6 forward, averaged 13.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game for the Red Storm last season.
This is not the first time Kentucky has shown interest in Jones as he actually visited UK in 2020. He eventually chose DePaul, played there for two seasons, then hit the portal again. Kentucky contacted him then but he ended up at St. John’s.
Jones says he has heard from the Wildcats, Memphis, Xavier, UConn and Arkansas. Travis Graf of Cats Illustrated says he has also heard from Ole Miss and Kansas.
St. John’s transfer David Jones tells me he’s heard from the following schools (among others) since entering the portal:
Kentucky
Memphis
Xavier
UConn
Arkansashttps://t.co/EI2wugppnC— Joe Tipton (@TiptonEdits) May 24, 2023
