Kentucky went into Knoxville as a 10.5-point underdog and knocked off No. 8 Tennessee 78-73 Tuesday night.
The win is Kentucky’s sixth win over an AP top 15 team this season.
The Wildcats (15-5, 4-3 SEC) shot 12-for-24 (50.0%) from the three-point line compared to 11-for-45 (24.4%) for Tennessee.
Koby Brea led the way with 18 points. Jaxson Robinson added 17 points. Otega Oweh finished with 14, including 4 huge free throws in the closing seconds of the game. Ansley Almonor, starting in place of Andrew Carr, chipped in 12 points. Amari Williams had a double-double of 10 points and 15 boards on his birthday.

Kentucky played the game without starting point guard Lamont Butler and backup point guard Kerr Kriisa. Andrew Carr tried to play through a back injury but played less than two minutes.
The Cats turn focus next to Arkansas and the homecoming of former head coach John Calipari.
