Kentucky quite literally shot the lights out in the first half of their impressive 91-68 win over San Lorenzo de Almagro.
With roughly 2 minutes to go in the first half, the Atlantis Resort lost power. At that time, officials decided to go to halftime early and play and extended second half.
During the break, television viewers were informed that the second half would not be televised. For a stretch of the half, fans watched the game on Matt Jones’ Periscope video.
Then, surprisingly, power was restored and the game switched back to the SEC Network for its conclusion.
From a basketball perspective, Kentucky impressively dominated the three-time champions of Argentina’s top-level LigaA.
The Wildcats were led by an incredible performance by freshman Tyler Herro. He finished with 22 points on 7-for-10 field goal shooting.
PJ Washington added 15 points and Keldon Johnson chipped in 13.
Kentucky shot 64% from the field and out-rebounded San Lorenzo 32-20.
