Kentucky found out they were playing North Carolina yesterday due to COVID-19 cancellations by Ohio State and UCLA.
The late schedule adjustment didn’t seem to hurt the Wildcats as they destroyed the Tar Heels 98-69.
Sahvir Wheeler led the way for Kentucky (8-2) with 26 points and 8 assists. Oscar Tshiebwe finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds despite missing most of the first half with 2 fouls. Kellan Grady contributed 18 points and 6 boards.

Kentucky led most of the first half by a comfortable margin with the Tar Heels (8-3) closing with a late run to cut the halftime lead to 40-29.
The Cats opened the second half with a quick run and never looked back on the way to a surprising 29-point victory.
Kentucky will not set its sites on a rivalry game at Louisville Wednesday night.
The Cardinals have lost three of their last five games, including an 82-72 loss at Western Kentucky this afternoon.
