Kentucky cruises to victory at Vanderbilt, clinches sole possession of second in SEC East

Kentucky rocketed to a 31-3 lead then put it in cruise control on the way to a 34-17 victory at Vanderbilt last night.

The Wildcats (7-3, 5-3 SEC) locked up sole possession of second place in the SEC East for the first time since the league changed formats in 1992.

Chris Rodriguez led Kentucky with 16 carries for 114 yards and a touchdown. JuTahn McClain added 69 yards on 10 carries.

Kentucky quarterback Will Levis finished 14-22 for 177 yards, 2 touchdowns and an interception.

Wan’Dale Robinson hauled in 6 receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown. He also carried it once for 23 yards.

The Wildcats host New Mexico State (1-9) next week then finish up the regular season at Louisville (5-5) on November 27.
