UPDATE: LEXINGTON, Ky. – The forecast for heavy and consistent rain in the Lexington area has caused Tuesday’s baseball game between Kentucky and No. 4 Louisville to be canceled. No re-schedule date has been determined.
Kentucky now will travel to Texas &M for a series that begins Thursday night on the SEC Network.

The Kentucky baseball team is preparing to take on yet another top 10 opponent tonight when No. 4 Louisville comes to Lexington.
Tonight will be the seventh time in eight games that the Wildcats have faced a top 10 team.

LEXINGTON, Ky. – For the seventh time in the past eight games Kentucky will have a shot at a Top 10 opponent, this time as No. 4 Louisville comes to town to renew the Bluegrass State rivalry. Each program won on the other’s home turf in 2021.
First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET. Gates open one hour prior to first pitch. The first 1,000 fans will receive a lapel pin.
Seth Logue is expected to get the start on the mound for Kentucky. He is 1-2 with a 6.49 earned run average this season and has 32 strikeouts to just seven walks in 26.1 innings.
UK (18-11) is coming off a weekend where it took one of three from No. 9 Ole Miss, while Louisville lost two of three at Pittsburgh but have won 11 of 14 overall. The Wildcats then will have a quick turnaround to travel to Texas A&M for a series that opens on Thursday night.
