The Kentucky baseball team will not be playing the 2018 NCAA Tournament after being ranked virtually all season.
A late-season collapse, that ended in a three-game sweep at the hands of Vanderbilt and an SEC Tournament loss to Auburn, led to the Cats being on the outside looking in for the NCAA Tournament.
While we are disappointed with the outcome, we are incredibly appreciative of the immense support we received this season from the #BBN and beyond. We will hold our heads high and continue to build this program as we move forward. Thank you! #WeAreUK

#Kentucky baseball is shut out of the @NCAACWS tournament in what is, objectively, a poor decision. Cats had 16 top 50 wins, 8 top 25 wins, and were shunned in favor of a team that won 1 game vs top 25 all season. Bad work by committee and Ray Tanner.

Hugely disappointing result

Obviously, this is a major disappointment considering the potential of this season’s team.
