Karl-Anthony Towns threw out the first pitch for yesterday’s Minnesota Twins game and he made sure his neigboring professional team knew he could throw the peel.
The 6-foot-11 former Kentucky Wildcat later explained that when he properly warms up and works some long toss, his heater can reach 80-85 mph. He even offered to try his hand at closing games for the Twins, should they be interested in his services.
Maybe he’s the next big two-sport star. Russell Wilson had better watch his back.
