Kansas and Louisville both lost Thursday in their respective conference tournaments.
With both teams hovering around the 1-3 seed range for the NCAA Tournament, here’s an update from ESPN’s Joe Lunardi.
Kansas remains a top seed, but No. 3 overall following its loss. Villanova and Carolina now 1/2 overall. Louisville remains a No. 2 seed, but on the verge of being passed by Arizona/UCLA. And TCU stays alive among “Next Four Out.”
If Kentucky wins (possibly even if they lose) over Georgia on Friday, it would seem all but certain that the Wildcats will be a 2-seed come Sunday evening.
The thing to keep an eye on is if Arizona or UCLA passes the Cardinals and drops them to a 3-seed. We all know the Selection Committee would be all over an opportunity to put the Cats and Cards in the same region for a Sweet 16 battle.
