Julius Randle Frustrated in LA

Julius Randle wasn’t happy with his limited playing time in the NBA Summer League with the Los Angeles Lakers.

So much so he used the word “frustrated” 5 times to describe how he was feeling.

Eric Pincus of the LA Times had the quotes:

“It’s just frustrating,” he said. “It’s frustrating.”

Answer to the next question in the media scrum?

“It’s frustrating,” Randle mumbled.

Randle understands intellectually, but emotionally, that’s a little harder to process.

“It’s just frustrating, it’s been so long,” he said. “I’ve never sat out that long. To get a little taste now, I have to wait a couple of more months.”

Randle understands the Lakers are just taking the necessary steps to keep him healthy after he broke his leg last season in the season opener.

But it doesn’t make it any easier.

“It’s killing me, man, but I have to keep it all in perspective,” Randle said Wednesday after the loss to the Dallas Mavericks.

Here is video of the above interview and highlights of his 17 performance vs the Mavericks.
