Josh Harrellson lands deal with Saga Ballooners in top Japanese league

Former Kentucky big man Josh Harrellson has signed with the Saga Ballooners in Japan’s top-level B1 League.

Harrellson spent last season in the B2 League with the Fukushima Firebonds. In 62 games, he averaged 11.2 points, 10.9 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

During the course of his professional career, Harrellson has played in six different countries on four different continents.

Saga Ballooners (B1 League) signed experienced 34-year old naturalized American forward Josh Harrellson (208cm-120kg-1989, college: Kentucky) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Harrellson played last season at Fukushima Firebonds in the B2 League. In 62 games he had 11.2ppg, 10.9rpg (#4 in the league), 3.8apg, 1.0spg and 1.2bpg. 2022-23 was a great season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-Japanese B League D2 Honorable Mention.
His team won SEC Tournament in 2010 and 2011.
