According to a report at AL.com, former Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips is a finalist for the head job at Florida A&M.

Here is an excerpt:

Former Alabama great E.J. Junior and former Kentucky head coach Joker Phillips are among the eight finalists for the head coaching job at Florida A&M, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

Junior, currently the head coach at Central State (Ohio), was an All-American playing for Bear Bryant at Alabama in 1980 and went on to a 13-year NFL career with the Cardinals, Dolphins, Buccaneers and Seahawks. He was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.

Phillips was 13-24 from 2010-12 at Kentucky and served as Will Muschamp’s receivers coach at Florida in 2013 before resigning in June after a photo surfaced of him sitting him with a recruit in a restaurant during a mandated dead period.
