Kentucky head coach John Calipari took some time to help families in Lexington this week.
Some images or Calipari delivering groceries to a young student appeared on Facebook earlier today:
It turns out, the young girl in the photo lost her father earlier this week.
Coach Cal was there to help.
“He really made her day today and I’m so grateful for him doing this for her,” Neokia Harris said of Calipari helping her daughter during this difficult time. “She lost her dad earlier this week and this made her smile.”
Calipari posted earlier this week about an effort being made with Fayette County Public Schools to help families during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic:
I want to thank all of the volunteers with the @FCPSKY team that spent most of yesterday picking up the food from @kroger that will be delivered today and tomorrow to families in need. Our plan is to do this for four weeks and longer if we need to.https://t.co/YFP6jXPMYO pic.twitter.com/XtfUbVIkLb
